The losses suffered by the organizers of the 14th Festival of Rock Music in Jarocin are estimated at 500 million zlotys. Had it not been for the quick intervention of the police on the Small Stage, a real war could have taken place.
The scuffle occurred on Friday bm. After the performance of the band "Smar S.W", its fans demanded encores. The organizers refused. Then a group of young people burst onto the stage. A scuffle with the venue's security began. In the course of it, sound equipment was smashed. Speaker columns, tripods, microphones began to fly in the air.
The stage at the Jarocin amphitheater is surrounded by a rather deep moat. This is where the security guards began pushing the raging fans away. This further angered the rock fans sitting in the audience. Planks were ripped from the benches and the crowd rushed to the aid of their friends. Stones were sprinkled toward the stage.
The brawl was ended only by the appearance of police officers, who very efficiently dispersed the disputants.
